Themed “Pioneer Uncharted Landscape, Embrace Shared Opportunities – Invest in Shenzhen, Build a Winning Future”, the 2023 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference is scheduled at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center on December 8th, 2023.
The Conference is sponsored by the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality and organised by the Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality. It aims to showcase the prominent achievements and breakthroughs made by Shenzhen after the 20th National Congress. In addition to the prioritised development directions in Shenzhen such as the “20 + 8” industrial clusters and the modern service industry, it will also demonstrate the industrial planning and investment achievements in Shenzhen, to establish a comprehensive, profound, and high-level investment cooperation platform covering all sectors, further develop Shenzhen into the first choice for global investments, and share the development opportunities in Shenzhen with the whole world.
The Conference will consist of 1 grand event, 1 “Bay Area Night” lawn tea party, 12 district-level investment promotion conferences, and N overseas parallel sessions and industrial investment promotion activities, forming a complete system of a series of investment promotion campaigns. Representatives from the world’s top enterprises, consular delegates of foreign embassies and consulates in China, officials of international sister cities and investors from well-known institutions will be invited to participate in the Conference. The main contents include an exhibition of investment promotion results, speeches by senior officials, keynote speeches by guest speakers, reports released by authoritative institutions, and a signing ceremony of major projects as well. Besides, digital technologies such as cloud exhibition halls and cloud live streaming will be used to communicate Shenzhen’s economic vitality, innovation capability, city attractiveness and investment potential to the rest of the world.
The Shenzhen Economic and Trade Office in Australia (SETO), which represents the City of Shenzhen, successfully held the 2020, 2021 and 2022 Sydney Sessions and the 2021 and 2022 Brisbane Sessions as part of the GIPC events. This year, Invest Hong Kong will be co-organizing the Sydney and Brisbane Sessions together with SETO. At that time, representatives from local governments, enterprises, universities, innovation incubators, industry associations and other institutions will get together and explore China-Australia economic and trade exchange and cooperation opportunities.
