AROUND 300 guests consisting of government officials and media workers attended the launch ceremony of “@Shenzhen,” a self-made media content platform operated by sznews.com, at the Civic Center on Thursday.
Lan An, editor-in-chief of sznews.com, said half of the contents including news, leisure and other useful information on the platform comes from sznews.com, while the other half is generated by self-made media outlets. The platform consists of a mobile website and a phone app to facilitate users reading news on mobile devices.
The city’s public security bureau, the Nanshan District Government, the Guanlan Subdistrict Office and the Shenzhen Bank Association signed cooperation agreements with sznews.com to join as content providers.
Chen Yin, president of Shenzhen Press Group, said “@Shenzhen” will gather the power of self-made media in Shenzhen on one platform, which will be a good opportunity for outstanding content providers to have their voice heard by more people.
Zhong Haifan, director of the city’s Internet information office, said he hopes more self-made media could join “@Shenzhen” in the near future, which will benefit the development of self-made media in Shenzhen.
According to Lan, a revised website of sznews.com was launched this month, with user interfaces for both PC and mobile users.
